Variables
Cooper's Hawk
Occurred the most disproportionately in 3 different situations: (a) in
hexagons with annual precipitation of 683-1134 mm and white oak
forest present, (b) hexagons with annual precipitation of 431-683 mm
and elevation (hex. avg.) of 237-604 ft., or (c) hexagons with annual
precipitation of 1134-1511 mm and less than 12% mixed conifer forest
(Douglas-fir dominant). The logistic regression analysis showed
positive or negative association with ponderosa pine forest, big
sagebrush shrubland, number of land cover types, June maximum
temperature (hex. min.), and-to a lesser degree-July precipitation
(hex. min.).
